Mick Wallace and Clare Daly at the session “An Exclusive Account of Confronting Genocide in Gaza at the European Parliament” stated:
- Today, Europe’s youth are standing against the genocide in Gaza with poetry, literature, and anger. Now, it has become easier for Western public opinion to understand why Iran is part of the Resistance axis.
- Iranophobia still exists strongly, but through cultural diplomacy and intellectual engagement, it is possible to present a human and authentic image of Iran to the world. It’s not an easy path, but it’s achievable.
- Western politicians are caught between public opinion and economic interests. Supporting the Resistance takes courage and comes at a cost — but the landscape is changing.
