Review of the Current Status of the Cultural Ecosystem for Children in Iran and Its Components

Abstract

Children form the future generation of any society. Therefore, preserving and sustaining national identity and culture depends on raising this age group’s awareness of their cultural and identity foundations. To achieve this awareness, purposeful education—and beyond that, the cultural ecosystem surrounding children—must become a priority for cultural policymakers. Cultural products tailored to children’s age group, along with the institutions and centers they interact with, collectively form the components of the child’s cultural ecosystem. These components support the socialization of children and, in the long term, contribute to strengthening a country’s cultural capital.
