Crises can often serve as pivotal moments for growth and development. In times of turbulence, opportunities for creativity and innovation emerge, allowing individuals and communities to reassess their values and embrace new narratives. Emerging generations, with their unique perspectives and tools, are becoming the driving force behind these new stories, particularly during challenging circumstances.
Opportunities Arising from National Challenges
The session titled “Creativity in the Heart of Crisis,” organized by the Institute for Supporting Cultural and Artistic Development in partnership with KHANA, explored the opportunities arising from national challenges and the vital role of modern communication tools in portraying realities. Massoud Hasanaloo, head of the Children’s and Adolescents’ Center at the Owj Organization, highlighted that crises can reveal hidden capacities, stating that they open new windows to creativity.
He argued that the concept of patriotism has become a driving force behind creative productions, contrasting traditional views of the younger generation, who are emerging as key creative players in media. Additionally, Mohammad Mahdi Izadkhah, a board member of Tarjomaan Publishing, discussed international experiences in crisis documentation, suggesting the use of global influencers to report on post-crisis Iran. Finally, Mohammad Reza Ketabi emphasized the importance of maintaining strategic calm and facilitation in navigating social and economic turbulence.
