Abstract
The fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria in recent weeks is considered one of the fastest and most complex regime changes in history. This event, which occurred in less than 10 days with the successive fall of major and strategic cities in Syria, such as Aleppo and Hama, led to the end of the Assad family’s more than 50-year rule in Syria. With the end of this historical period in Syria, a new era has begun, one that will not only change the fate of the country but could also mark the beginning of a new chapter in regional equations and the relationships between regional and global powers.
