Abstract
Nowadays, ensuring fair distribution of access to medical services in the society is a priority for every country. To achieve this goal, many countries have successfully implemented telemedicine as an effective solution. Home-based healthcare and laboratory services (outside medical centers) and remote health monitoring are key components that complete the telemedicine service chain.
Despite the long-standing history of these services, information technology has played a crucial role in their growth. Among these, telemedicine consultations, online pharmaceutical supply, and home delivery of medications are considered fundamental e-health services.
