Gaza is the future of the world

The “World’s cry for Palestine” event featured a virtual speech by Charlotte Kates, a Canadian anti-Zionist activist speaking from Lebanon

The “World’s cry for Palestine” gathering was held on the evening of Thursday, May 9, 2025, at KHANA, with the participation of concerned youth and a virtual speech by Charlotte Kates from Lebanon. This event, organized as part of the special “Goftino” program, aimed to explain the dimensions of global resistance in support of the Palestinian people and to examine the role of the Iranian people in this global movement.

Some of the key points of this speech are:

Palestine: A Human Cause and a Symbol of Global Resistance

Charlotte Kates from Samidoun stated that Gaza symbolizes the future of global resistance. She warned of a world order seeking domination, not justice, and praised figures like Ghasem Soleimani and Hassan Nasrollah as leaders in the fight against imperialism.

Reverse Perspective on Terrorism in the West

Charlotte Kates criticized the U.S. and Canada for labeling Samidoun as a terrorist organization, arguing that true terrorism is Israel’s violence against Palestinians. She highlighted the hypocrisy of Western democracies that suppress protests and censor pro-Palestinian voices.

The October 7 Attack and the Collapse of the Illusion of the Normalization Order

Charlotte Kates stated that Hamas’s October 7 operation surprised Israel amid its efforts to normalize relations with Arab countries, disrupting its plans. She emphasized that despite lacking advanced military equipment, the faith of the Palestinian people and broad support for Hamas create a balance against Israel, as Hamas is deeply rooted in Palestinian society.

Global Responsibility; Iran’s Role in the Resistance Front

Charlotte Kates said that since the Iranian government itself supports Palestine, the approach to struggle is different, involving support for domestic production, boycotting Israeli-linked goods, and building international solidarity networks. She added that in the West, efforts focus more on public gatherings and social campaigns to prevent government funding of Israel.
