An overview of social support policies of governments worldwide

Examining social support policies in some countries around the world to design the best support policy in Iran

Abstract

The consideration of the support programs of other countries in a partial manner is a common practice in Iran. Most organizations are aware of the actions and support programs implemented in other countries; however, experts in this field consistently raise the issue of the lack of integration in the provision of social support. The International Labour Organization, using the social protection floor framework, suggests developing an integrated model for all necessary supports. Based on these experiences, the Empowerment Center for Governance and Society in this project has gathered the support measures provided within an integrated framework by studying countries that have successfully eradicated poverty, and has analyzed its key components.
