Examining the international impacts of emerging technologies at both global and domestic levels over the next decade, and providing strategies for guiding future technological developments to manage the country’s international relations
Abstract
Since the onset of revolutionary transformations in human life—such as modernity and industrialization—the influence of science and technology on social life and international relations has become increasingly significant. In past decades, key determinants of social and human interactions included economic strength, population size, labor force, capital, military power, and even territorial expanse. However, emerging sciences and technologies have diminished the impact of these traditional factors, positioning themselves as fundamental elements shaping the global landscape. The advent of new technologies has radically altered established categories of interaction and conflict, transforming conventional domains of power and influence. As a result, traditional centers of authority have been disrupted, and new actors—both partners and competitors—have emerged on the global stage.
