Examining the Impact of Iran’s Gas Exports to Europe on the Country’s Economic and Political Spheres
Abstract
Considering that Iran has the world’s second-largest proven natural gas reserves, playing a significant role in the global gas market and securing a substantial share of gas exports and trade have been emphasized in the country’s strategic documents. One of the target markets that Iran has not yet entered, but has consistently been suggested by some experts and officials as a suitable option for gas exports, is the European gas market. Alongside the regional market and the East Asian market, Europe is considered a potential market for Iran’s gas exports. However, to assess the proposed option of exporting gas to Europe, it is first necessary to establish an analytical framework.
In this article, you will read about:
1. The analytical framework of Iran’s gas export plan to Europe
2.The economic comparison between Europe and the countries of the region regarding gas exports
