The Future of Iran in the Light of Technological Transformation

The expert session of Technological Transformation

The second expert session of “Innovative Iran Vision”, held on September 7, 2025, focused on Technological Transformation shaping the nation’s scientific future. Organized in collaboration with KHANA, the meeting gathered prominent scholars and policymakers to assess the Vision 1404 plan and outline perspectives toward Vision 1430.

Dr. Kiarash Fartash, Secretary of the National Foresight Program, emphasized that global power now derives from knowledge, technology, and innovation, not military force, and that a shared vision is vital for shaping a desired future. Dr. Mostafa Safdari, faculty at the University of Tehran, underscored the need for mission-oriented governance, where collaboration across sectors drives solutions to key national challenges. Dr. Siavash Melkifar, Deputy Head of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, highlighted hope and clarity as essential for economic stability and investment confidence. Finally, Dr. Mirzaei from the K. N. Toosi Research Institute noted the absence of a shared understanding of Iran’s technological landscape and called for integrated, cross-domain innovation to harness emerging technologies effectively.
